I understand that Melania is almost ready to go. Her shoes are packed. She’s said her goodbyes. All that’s left is to get on the plane tomorrow. So nice of you to honor photographer, Huỳnh Công Ut, with the Medal of Arts on Wed. He deserves recognition for his brave work helping the world to see the atrocity of the Vietnam war with his photo of the “Napalm Girl.” … I hope that your fans were paying attention so they can see that immigrants help to enrich our nation….

My sympathies to you on the passing of your friend, Sheldon Adelson (SGA). Losing a friend is always hard & for you, at this time, SGA’s passing must be particularly hard. … I disagreed with almost everything that he said & did, nonetheless, it’s clear that he loved fiercely & counted you among his friends. Since love is to be treasured, I am always sad when anyone loses a loved one.

…I encourage you to stay in TX an extra day so you can visit Brownsille and help Vet. Ramón Saldaña celebrate his 100th birthday. He somehow survived D-Day, CV & systemic racism to make it to 100. His celebration was on the front page of the McAllen Monitor so everyone down there is excited about it. Joining the festivities will be diverting for you….
