Friend DJT,

How are your cortisone & adrenaline levels today? I’m afraid mine are high. I am trying hard to take deep breaths & not to clench my jaw. It helps, but it would be better if I could get out of the stress that I am experiencing. I won’t trouble you with my situation, as yours is so much worse, but suffice it to say, “I feel you.”

Of course, one way out of your stress would be a resignation. You could acknowledge that the majority of citizens & officials have lost faith in you & step down. That’s what former Capitol Police Chief, Steven Sund (SAS), did & I suspect his stress hormones have subsided. As I’m sure you’ve heard, he’s upset that the DC National Guard was not “leaning forward” on Jan 6, even though he requested their help 6 times before the event & 5 times during the event.

We are so lucky that things weren’t worse & SAS cautions that we need to be ready for another onslaught. Your resignation could prevent more violence, so if you want to save face, you could say that you are stepping away from office a few days early to avert further bloodshed.

The next best thing is to get out of town, so I’m relieved to hear that you are heading to Alamo. I encourage you to stay in TX an extra day so you can visit Brownsille and help Vet. Ramón Saldaña celebrate his 100th birthday. He somehow survived D-Day, CV & systemic racism to make it to 100. His celebration was on the front page of the McAllen Monitor so everyone down there is excited about it. Joining the festivities will be diverting for you.

Before you go, please commute the death sentence of Lisa Montgomery. The sexual assaults she endured throughout her childhood are unspeakable, so she did not share them with her male lawyers. Now that we all know the level of her PTSD, we can understand that the system that failed to protect her as a child should not, then, kill her. Please extend to her the mercy that you’d like others to extend to you.

            BYBS,
