…I advise you to stay away from talking about Shelley Luther (SL) & her imprisonment for operating her salon in Dallas. You can’t win on that one. …I respect CL for her civil disobedience. Courageous people do that when they believe laws are wrong & like those before her, she accepted her jail sentence as the cost of her actions. I just hope she & her customers don’t get sick….

I liked how the questioners were on video from all over the country asking you about some challenging issues … best of all was Carolyn’s question about why you bully the press. I was surprised that you equated yourself with Abe claiming that you get hounded by the press more than he did….. I hope you listened to Carolyn’s suggestion that you “let go of those behaviors that are turning people away from you.”

…make sure that all of the companies follow JBS’ lead and fix their plants. At their Greeley, CO facility, they put up shields between workstations and lunch tables. They have tents at entry points to check workers for symptoms & make sure they have their masks. They have signs all over the factory to remind folks about social distancing & hand-washing.

I don’t know what to make of the ad that John H. Tyson (JHT) put in the WP yesterday. I’m afraid he’s playing with fire & could ignite an inferno by calling into question the food supply. Most Americans have never faced food insecurity. As my dad loved to say, Americans enjoy the cheapest food in the world & we take it for granted. Folks will freak out if that changes….
When I googled TMD I was surprised to see a photo of you with him & HDRC in Oct. 2016 laughing together at the Al Smith Dinner for Catholic Charity. ..I encourage you to spend more time with TMD. He’s so diplomatic & exudes generosity, forgiveness & love. We could use more of that kind of presence in our lives.
