My dear Friend & President, DJT,

Did you enjoy your townhall at Lincoln Memorial yesterday? I liked how the questioners were on video from all over the country asking you about some challenging issues including Rob from Ohio who asked what your plan is to address the disproportionate number of African-Americans affected by CV, Phil from South Carolina who asked about reducing tariffs, Joe from TX who asked about protecting plane passengers from catching CV, and best of all was Carolyn’s question about why you bully the press. I was surprised that you equated yourself with Abe claiming that you get hounded by the press more than he did. I’m sure he cringed up in heaven when he heard that because statements like those make you sound conceited. I hope you listened to Carolyn’s suggestion that you “let go of those behaviors that are turning people away from you.”

I have to caution you to refrain from making promises you can’t keep. When Shaina from Alabama asked for advice about how to handle her financial crisis, telling her that she would get a job where she makes more money wasn’t very helpful. She’s afraid of being evicted and is having trouble feeding her kids, she needs some emergency assistance right now, not aspiration of better days to come.

I know that this CV thing has thrown us all for a loop. Who knew that we’d be afraid to go to the grocery store & would be hoarding toilet paper? It’s hard to know what the right thing to do is at this point. I’m hopeful that creativity and ingenuity will get us through this.

Please thank MRP for acknowledging that he should have worn a mask during his visit at the Mayo Clinic last week. It’s takes a strong man to admit his mistakes & I am impressed with his grace.

            HYITL,

            RCA
