Campus is always exciting in late Sept. Freshmen wander around campus trying to look cool. New riders weave in and out of the bike traffic, occasionally losing their balance and colliding with others. Hormones run high as 20-year olds hunt for new mates. The anticipation of starting new classes with the rush of novel ideas and cutting-edge methods captivates the students and invigorates their instructors.
The fact that almost everyone at the table was a Republican made things easy for you. The only Democrat in sight was NC Governor Roy Cooper. Did he mention his opposition to off-shore drilling or remind you that he had to pull NC National Guard folk off of border patrol so they wouldn't have to separate kids from their parents?
Speaking of your people, Don Scavino is doing a great job tweeting out to them. Don't you think? You are so lucky to have such a devoted helper! Apparently, Don loves you so much that he gave up his marriage for you. According to Robert Draper in the NYT, Don looks after your #MAGA congregation and is the longest tenured employee in the WH.
You don't have any appointments scheduled and you didn't have any yesterday either. I hope everything is ok. Maybe you are having second thoughts about the tariffs and are hatching a plan to eliminate them. The RV makers in Elkhart Indiana would be happy to hear that. According to today's NYT, RV shipments in June were down 18.7% and some manufacturers have cut back to a 4-day work week.
How was yesterday’s event at the memorial to the “band of brave patriots” from Flight 93? It’s too bad that Joe Scarboroughheckled you on MSNBC, and I’m sure you regret that double fist pump you made when you got off the plane. As you know the photo of that made the rounds on Twitter and provided fodder for your detractors.
I understand that you will be attending an event at the Tower of Voices monument that just opened in Shanksville, PA to honor the 40 people who died in Flight 93 in 2001. It took so long to get the thing built because the kids who were collecting the $6 million construction costs were raising 93 cents at a time.
I just read the Tweet that you wrote 26 minutes ago and I wonder what exactly you do when you sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. Do you stare at your phone like the kids in my University classes do? Are you watching the Twitter Feed? Since I don’t do that, I don’t get it, and I still don’t understand when you are bragging about the economy, you have to add in that the Democrats are “flailing” and “lying like crazy.”
You might be tempted to try to find the person who wrote that Opinion piece, but what if the NYT made it up? Then you will be falling into their trap, sowing distrust and suspicion amongst your people. Even if one of your people wrote it, you would be falling into their trap by proving that you are paranoid.
I am not sure why you are bothering to go to SD to campaign for a gubernatorial candidate. Krisit Noem may be in a tight(ish) race with Billie Sutton, but don't you have more pressing matters? Some folks say that you go to rallies out in the hinterlands when things get tough at the WH. Is that true?
I'm sorry that you can't trust the people in the WH. It must be creepy knowing that someone in your midst wrote that piece in the NYT. I think it's extraordinary that Dean Banquet would print it, but we are living in extraordinary times. As I noted yesterday, if you get angry, you will only end up hurting yourself.

I can write these letters everyday because I can so easily access information about what you are doing and find out about the people you are seeing. Speaking of which, I couldn't find out much about your visit with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed today beyond the fact that he's 89-years old, and you are both preparing for the GGC Summit, whatever that is.
