I understand that you will be attending an event at the Tower of Voices monument that just opened in Shanksville, PA to honor the 40 people who died in Flight 93 in 2001. It took so long to get the thing built because the kids who were collecting the $6 million construction costs were raising 93 cents at a time.
I just read the Tweet that you wrote 26 minutes ago and I wonder what exactly you do when you sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. Do you stare at your phone like the kids in my University classes do? Are you watching the Twitter Feed? Since I don’t do that, I don’t get it, and I still don’t understand when you are bragging about the economy, you have to add in that the Democrats are “flailing” and “lying like crazy.”
You might be tempted to try to find the person who wrote that Opinion piece, but what if the NYT made it up? Then you will be falling into their trap, sowing distrust and suspicion amongst your people. Even if one of your people wrote it, you would be falling into their trap by proving that you are paranoid.
I am not sure why you are bothering to go to SD to campaign for a gubernatorial candidate. Krisit Noem may be in a tight(ish) race with Billie Sutton, but don't you have more pressing matters? I'm sorry that you can't trust the people in the WH. It must be creepy knowing that someone in your midst wrote that piece in the NYT. I'm disturbed today because the front page of the NYT has a story about some protests in Chemnitz Germany where neo-Nazis are running "rampant" in the streets chasing down immigrants and chanting, "We are the people." Your rhetoric in Evansville last night about "the really bad people that were allowed into this country under President Obama" normalizes angry sentiments about immigrants and can lead to the kind of thing we're seeing in Chemintz.
The Presidential Site Summit looks like a big deal! It's great that Melania got involved by planting a clone from the "Eisenhower Oak" on the South grounds, and you, two, will be hosting the whole group at the WH. Wish I could join you.
