The Miami Herald says that the folks at the Doral were happy to see you, but that you riled up a dog. Is that true? I understand that business at the Doral is not what it used to be. Maybe you need to go there more often to stir up some traffic…
… Maybe you should call up Heather Wilson. She might be willing to come back from her new gig as President of UT-El Paso and help out. Defense news says she did a great job as Air Force Sec, so she's ready for next step up the totem pole. Wouldn't it be refreshing to have a woman in charge of the military?..
… Are you psyched for Orlando tonight? As you know, your fans have been lining up for days. Why didn't you go to Gainesville where the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium holds over 88,000 people? That way more of your fans could go. 40 minutes from Orlando and 25 minutes from Jacksonville, I'm sure you could fill the place. Maybe next time….
I am worried about this thing with Iran. Please tone down the rhetoric. I know you don't want to start a war. Maybe you should call Shinzo and see what he found out during his visit to Iran this week… I keep hearing about the chances that a war could break out by mistake. That would be awful. I implore you to do everything you can to avoid that!!!!
… Some folks are worried that Poland's democracy is in peril because President Andrzej Duda(ASD) and Jaroslaw Kaczynskiare dismantling it by undermining the free press and trying to control the judiciary. I encourage you to say something about this when you meet with ASD today….
… I know you share my love for democracy so I encourage you to send some words of encouragement to the protestors in Sudan who are giving up their lives to promote freedom. Some acknowledgement from you that it's not right for unarmed people to be shot for speaking their minds would go a long way. I know you are busy but a quick tweet would do wonders…
… Tom Rice re-enacted his jump today into a field near Carentan. He's 97-years old. I can't imagine jumping out of an airplane ever, let alone when I'm that age. He says he is bothered by what he had to do in the war and that all GIs suffer from the same blame and shame. It makes me sad to think that he's had to live a lifetime with that weight…
I heard your remarks to QE at the State dinner last night. Thanks for sticking to your script and reminding the world of the strong ties between Great Britain and the US. I love that you brought up QE's time as a mechanic during WWII. Isn't it wonderful that she knows how to change a spark plug? I don't know how to do that, do you? …
… Since you're going to be involved in commemorations of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day on your trip, you might take a look at my uncle's book, "D-Day: The Climactic Battle of WWII." It tells the story from the view of the guys who flew the planes, parachuted behind enemy lines, drove the Higgins assault landing crafts, climbed the bluffs on the beaches and manned the tanks….
