My dear Friend and president, DJT,

            As your friend, I think I can tell you that is time for you to put on a happy face and put down your phone. Mean tweets about the mayor of London and CNN are not the best way to start a state visit. It's not a good idea to meddle in British politics either. I'd like my president to put differences aside and be nice to the Brits. Could you please do that, Donald? Pretty please?

            I watched the WP version of the Buckingham Palace welcome.  Don't you think the Band of the Grenadier Guards did a lovely job playing our patriotic songs. What was Prince Charles (PC) saying to the Royal guardsman? They were having quite the conversation. Perhaps PC was thanking him for his service and asking him how long he had been in. Did you notice any women in the guard? A few have served but I am not sure if any is in it now. 

         It looked like QE enjoyed showing off her treasures to you. I couldn't tell what you were looking at - maybe some photos and some special gifts from royals around the world. I had to laugh when I saw that she was carrying her purse. What do you think is in that purse? 

         When you meet PC today please listen to what he has to say about the environment. He is quite keen on preserving the planet for his grandkids. You might get some great ideas from him.

PS - I did not have time to read the whole article in today's NYT about Elaine Chao, but I do wonder if it's a good idea that our Sec. of Transportation has a dad and sister that borrow $$ from a Chinese bank to buy Chinese-made ships to make big $$ which they then give to Elaine's husband's campaign. Seems fishy. Help me understand why there's not a conflict of interest there.
