Math rescued me today. Maybe it can rescue you, too. … I was heading to a very dark place until I saw an article in today’s NYT about a logarithmic graph showing the rate of growth of CV is slowing in Italy. I found comfort in seeing that this too shall pass, even though it will get worse before it gets better.
While I think bailouts might be ok sometimes, it sounds like Boeing is even more messed up than United Airlines! The Seattle Times thinks that the board is dysfunctional and that the whole company needs a culture change….If you must give the airplane industry some $$, please consider Sen. Ed Markey’s suggestion that they work on reducing their carbon footprint….

.. I was troubled by some other numbers that I read this morning about younger people getting CV. WP reports that in the US, 38 percent of those sick enough to be hospitalized were younger than 55 … I hope these numbers are making their way to Facebook so those folks on the beaches in FL will give one another a wide berth.
… I encourage you to check out Vox’s March 6 article about the silly songs and videos that folks around the world are coming up with to educate the public to combat the spread of CV. That might help you understand why it’s time for you to adopt the elbow bump or foot tap rather than the handshake….
