I saw the moment when you hugged Nat’s catcher, Kurt Suzuki, yesterday. I was surprised that he traded in his baseball cap for a MAGA hat. I’m even more surprised that he didn’t realize that he would get some flak for that and complained that, “Everybody makes everything political.” As you and I well know, everything IS political, even baseball.

…As I'm sure you know, most of Columbia, SC is unsettled by your visit to Benedict College. … I think they're so disturbed because there are still plenty of folks who carry hate and anger toward the descendants of enslaved people. Folks who have repeatedly desecrated memorials to Emmett Till. So much so that the new memorial that they put up last Saturday in Glendora, MS is bulletproof. I encourage you to apologize for using that word (lynching) so casually.
