…Speaking of cherishing Mother Nature, I think that's what Travis Atkins did. You'll recall that he's the guy you are commemorating with the Medal of Honor this afternoon. Apparently he loved to fish, hunt and snowmobile in his home state of MT. That's probably why he joined the 10th Mountain Division, so he could use his backcountry skills in his work. ..
How was the visit with the Capitals yesterday? It looked like another love fest, especially between you and Alex Ovechkin. Apparently, you said some complimentary things about him some of which related to his hands. Can you help me understand why you care about the size of people's hands?
.. it must be nice to have that "cloud," as the NYT called it, lifted from you. Please express your appreciation to Robert Mueller, who has been such a professional. As David Von Drehle wrote in the WP today, "He was called under difficult circumstances to drill straight down to a bedrock of facts and tell us, without bias, without slant, what he found." He deserves a dinner at the WH for that…
How was your golf game with Kid Rock yesterday? It's too bad he chose to wear those silly pants. I guess he has was never a boy scout and didn't get a chance to learn about 4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag, which states, among many other things, "the flag should never be used as wearing apparel." …
…Did you read the Cindy Yang story that appeared on the cover of the Palm Beach Post today? She's accused of being a Chinese Operative who has gained access to your inner circles by donating some big bucks. Like too many of the tales about your friends and associates her's is a sordid one…
… Did you see the NYT front page story about your fan, Elizabeth Pipkoand her "Jexodus" campaign? The NYT opines that it's not going to work. They think that Jewish folk in America will continue to vote with the Democratic party even though an attractive Jewish woman tweets about how great the GOP is…
…On another matter, please confer with David Bernhardt to find a time to meet with my colleague, Prof. Gail Patricelli. She can fill you in on the mating habits of the sage grouse and help you understand why it's so important that you change your mind about stripping away their environmental protection. Gail calls herself a "pornothologist"…
Did you miss our letter yesterday? I chose to go to a wedding. I think it was a good choice. The church was my kind of place - full of triangles and trapezoids. The unconventional service included a sand ceremony where the bride and groom took turns pouring sand into a jar to symbolize how they were joining together forever…
…It looks like you enjoyed yourself at the Shamrock Bowl presentation event with the taoiseach yesterday. Now that you and Leo are "fast friends," perhaps you could ask why the folks in Ireland would prefer an open border with Northern Ireland and why that issue is a sticking point in the Brexit deal…
… I understand that Friend of Ireland and MA Rep. Richard Neal (D) may join you at some point. According to the Boston Globe (BG), he's quite the gentleman. He keeps a low profile and doesn't say much, living by the credo, "just remember, you never have to explain anything you didn’t say." You might consider adopting that credo yourself. …
… It's too bad that your photo with the WH interns today will not have as much diversity. You need to work on that so you can combat the image that you only like to hang out with White men. As Eugene Scott pointed out in the NYT last year, it could be that young POC do not want to work with you. If that's the case, then you should hire Christos Marafatsos to help out. As one of the leaders of your "Diversity Coalition" he's in a great position to recruit some young POCs to apply…
… I'm sure you'll have fun meeting the Scouts today. Don't you just love their new motto, "Scout Me In?" I am curious about the girls that you'll be meeting today, especially Isabella Messer and Michalea Oakes. Isabella, age 10, started her own cub scout group and manages a profitable bee enterprise. Michaela found her confidence when climbing a mountain with her Sea Scout troop…
