…On a lighter note, today would be Prince Philip’s 100th birthday. Have you heard of the DoIt4Youth campaign that launches today in his name? It asks people to do 4 things – Get Up (exercise), Skill Up (learn something new), Free Up (give up a bad habit) & Hand Up (do something charitable)….
…Lately they are excited about an air refueling mission in which the KC-135 Stratotanker provided gas for a F-35 over France. This sounds to me like a big waste of fossil fuel & not at all in keeping with our climate change goals. Please do what you can to encourage more research into electric airplanes….
…Blue Origin space company will be sending JB & his brother up to the the Kármán line for a quick look-see back at Earth. He says the voyage will be transformational because in his words, “It changes your relationship with this planet, with humanity.” If that’s true, perhaps you & XJ could blast off in the New Shepard together & end this dangerous rivalry between China & the US….
…Cpl. Waverly B. Woodson WBW) Jr. was a 21-year-old medic when he got wounded when his landing craft was hit by a shell. Despite the severe injury, WBW set up a first-aid station & was responsible for saving the lives of 200 men during his 30-hour stint during the invasion. Because he was Black, he didn’t receive a Medal of Honor even though generals urged President Roosevelt to give him one. I hope you will remedy this grave omission…
