What great graphs you shared with Jonathan Swan (JS) the other day. I suspect that they were given to you by Dr. Birx (DLB). It’s too bad you had a bit of trouble explaining them. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one to get overwhelmed by all that we have to keep track of these days….I’m sure that DLB could help you understand this if you’d let her back in the WH….

Help me understand your plans for the USPS. …We love our mail carriers. Mine is Julie & when I asked her what I should do about my lost mailbox key, she assured me that if my box was too full, she’d bring my letters to my door. … I know that among the 600,000 postal workers, a few are grumpy, but for the most part they are affable public servants who will make some noise if they are prevented from doing their jobs properly.

…I encourage you to take a look at the sobering article in the LAT today that talks about how ocean front property in Manhattan Beach was stolen from a Black family in 1924. It illustrates how governmental action has prevented the families of formerly enslaved people from acquiring wealth, making it clear that reparations are in order. I hope you’ll start considering how you can share your wealth….

…CW seems like a good guy. He’s an exercise fanatic & talks like a New Yorker. Does everyone in FL do that? He’s proud of the fact that he was an early adopter of body cams. All of his officers wear them, all of the time. I think it’s great that he wants to be as transparent as possible. …I hope you will call him, so he can tell you more about that.

It’s too bad that you had to cut your trip to FL short & will have to skip your visit to Doral. I hope Storm Isaias doesn’t get any more intense. It’s 80 mph winds make it a Cat 1 storm. Perhaps it will stay out at sea & we won’t have to worry about sheltering people in this moment of CV….

…I was sorry to hear that your advocate, Bill Montgomery of Turning Point, died of CV. When you give your condolences to his young protégé, Charlie Kirk, please inform him that wearing a mask does not make you “infect yourself.” He’s a bit confused about the science. You know how that is….

It was kind of you to greet Terry Sharpe at the WH yesterday. How was he holding up? Walking 300 miles at age 69 is quite an accomplishment! I’m sure you’ve heard that another group has emerged to stand between the protestors and the marshals. They call themselves, the “Wall of Vets,” and were inspired by Naval Academy Grads, Duston Obermeyer (DO) & Chris David (CJD), who went to the protests to ask the marshals if they knew that “assaulting an unarmed protester who is exercising their first amendment rights is illegal, that’s an illegal order.”

It’s wonderful that you are honoring Jim Ryun (JRR) with a Presidential Medal of Freedom this morning! … According to Vanity Fair, he brought that sense of humility to his 11 years in Congress as he endeavored to be “a servant leader representing my constituents with integrity.” I think we all have something to learn from JRR.

I understand that you are worried about the gun violence in places like Kansas City, Chicago & Albuquerque, but rather than send in the marshals to take over the city, why not expand AmeriCorps and send folks out of the city? Take armies of urban youth to the backcountry to clean up the woods, plant trees & build trails. … I encourage you to use Goodman Park as the venue of your announcement should you decide to pursue this idea.
