As I am sure you are aware, yesterday’s NYT featured a comprehensive article about WH conversations in mid-April …. I’m afraid Dr. Birx (DLB) doesn’t look too good in this accounting. They called her the “the chief evangelist for the idea that the threat from the virus was fading” & say she was “a constant source of upbeat news” …As we both know, things have not turned out as well as DLB hoped.
..Those protestors in Portland are his (John Lewis) legacy & when you beat up on them, it makes you look bad. That’s what happened on Bloody Sunday in 1965 & Americans were horrified to see well-dressed Black folk being assaulted by State Troopers. …Seeing that you will be greeting ambassadors today led me to look up the new ambassadors that recently took office to represent the USA. I noticed that Cynthia Kierscht (CK), of Minnesota, has been appointed to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania….I assume you chose a career diplomat to handle Mauritania because it is such a challenging assignment.
Have you asked Ja’Ron Smith (JKS) about the changes you are making to the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA.) … I know he’s a champion of “Opportunity Zones,” & those zones might not improve if the air quality suffers. I’m sure you’ve heard that folks with lung problems get slammed by CV, so let’s do all we can to protect the air.
I see that you hosted some nice folk yesterday who had positive experiences with the police. …Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of the stories about the police were like those that you were hearing yesterday? I wonder what conditions we would need in this world so that Black & Brown kids would know that everyone would treat them with respect.

So, what’s up with Venezuela? I tried to learn something about it this morning, but it’s too complicated for the short time I have to devote to figuring it out. You must feel the same way which would explain why you expressed a willingness to meet with Nicolas Maduro (NMM) over the weekend and then backtracked on that idea on Monday.
Did you see the op-ed about Susan Collins (SMC) in the NYT this morning? The author, Jennifer Finney Boylan, laments that SMC has disappointed ME by not standing up to you. …Maybe you can call SMC & give her some encouragement. I’m sure that article was a blow.
I just read in the Guardian that Kayne West has announced he is running for President in 2020 & Elon Musk is endorsing him. ABC speculates that this could be just a publicity stunt to sell his new album, “God’s Country.” Did you encourage him to run so he can draw some of Biden’s supporters away?
