My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I expect you will enjoy a Presidential moment when you participate in the Credentialing Ceremony for Newly Appointed Ambassadors to Washington, D.C. today. I wish I could meet all of those dignitaries from all over the world. I will be interested to see how you practice social distancing at a diplomatic event. That will be tricky.

Seeing that you will be greeting ambassadors today led me to look up the new ambassadors that recently took office to represent the USA. I noticed that Cynthia Kierscht (CK), of Minnesota, has been appointed to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. I wish I had more time to find out what “Plenipotentiary” means. I assume you chose a career diplomat to handle Mauritania because it is such a challenging assignment. I learned today that people are still enslaved there in a race-based caste system where ‘darker-skinned inhabitants are beholden to their lighter-skinned “masters”’ The Guardian says that “Local rights groups estimate that up to 20% of the population is enslaved, with one in two Haratines forced to work on farms or in homes with no possibility of freedom, education or pay.” I hope that CK can employ all of her diplomatic skills to bring the BLM spirit to her new post.

            Be your best self today,

            HYITL,

            RCA

PS – I am intrigued that Brad Parscale tweeted, “Romans 12:14: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.” I hope he was being sincere.

PSS – Please acknowledge the Supreme Court’s ruling & start accepting DACA applications from the 15 yr olds who are now eligible.
