… Have you heard of Mercy Otis Warren? I never heard of her before reading Breen's piece today. My ignorance of her shows how limited my US history education was! … Some think she inspired the Bill of Rights by writing Observations on the New Constitution and on the Federal and State Conventions. She was worried about despotism …
… I'm sorry that you had trouble explaining your concern for the homelessness the other day, and now all the news outlets are making hay out your words on the issue. When you told Tucker Carlson that world leaders "can’t be looking at that," it sounded like you just wanted people without shelter out of your sight, rather than wanting to help them…
I see that you have a light schedule today and I'm sure you will enjoy signing the H.R.1957 - the Taxpayer First Act. I doubt that its author, John Lewis, will be there. According to the Rolling Stone, he's boycotted every one of your events that he's had an opportunity to participate in. He's not afraid of trouble and neither are you, so you do have something in common.
I'm sure that you are aware that you are following in Ike's footsteps. In Dec. 1952, he made a dramatic trip to the 38th parallel, too, but when he went bullets were still flying. Like you, he was trying to bring peace to the world. Perhaps you came up with the idea to go to the DMZ from studying his presidency and noting that he had the highest approval rating of any president since they started keeping track of such things.
…I understand that you were satisfied with your conversation with XJ and you're holding off on the tariffs. The folks at the ports of LA and Long Beach will be happy to hear that. They have a mess right now with a huge back up of cargo because everyone has been importing goods to beat the tariff….
…I'm sorry that you and Megan Rapinoe are at odds. I would love to see you acknowledge that she has the right to express her views by not putting her hand over her heart during the national anthem. As a White Gay Ally she is hoping to fuel a conversation about racial injustice. It would be great for you to engage in that conversation with her…

I didn't have the time or energy for a close read of the news today and only had a minute to enjoy listening to David Bellavia talk about what winning the Medal of Honor means to him. What a humble guy! …He says, "we can get things done if we take ourselves out of the equation and focus on the objective." I think that's wonderful advice, don't you? Read more
I hope you have fun at the Presidential Scholars photo op today….You should also reach out to Katrina Pokorny from Waupun WI, an FFA kid, who has a business making beauty projects from the beeswax she gets from her brother's hives. She went to Haiti with her mom last year to get some women started on their own businesses. Smart kids who have something to teach us all. I wish I could be there!!!
While you're contemplating next steps, you might reconsider this "family op" plan. Are you sure you want to arrest 2000 families and risk separating kids from their parents again? That didn't go over well last time. I encourage you to listen to your Acting DHS secretary Kevin McAleenan(KKM) who thinks ICE resources are best used at the border. …
… Maybe you should call up Heather Wilson. She might be willing to come back from her new gig as President of UT-El Paso and help out. Defense news says she did a great job as Air Force Sec, so she's ready for next step up the totem pole. Wouldn't it be refreshing to have a woman in charge of the military?..
… Are you psyched for Orlando tonight? As you know, your fans have been lining up for days. Why didn't you go to Gainesville where the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium holds over 88,000 people? That way more of your fans could go. 40 minutes from Orlando and 25 minutes from Jacksonville, I'm sure you could fill the place. Maybe next time….
