My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Did anyone notice my pause? I missed a couple of letters during my retreat with a couple of cohousers in the Redwoods. I am now recharged & ready to get back on the roller coaster.
SoW, has anyone pointed out that a crazy person(me) from CA writes you on most days providing gentle feedback & bold suggestions? Do I explain often enough that I am trying to cultivate love for you as an antidote to the trepidation that you conjure in me? Are you convinced you are my friend?
I hope so, because I need to have a “crucial conversation” with you. Have you heard of that?
Some guys from Utah coined that phrase to coach folks on delivering the truth about transgressions in a loving manner. The principles include START WITH THE HEART, so you don’t feel attacked or worry that your relationship is going to end, & ESTABLISH PURPOSE, so you are reminded that you care about the same outcome. Aa says the book has sold 5 million copies & it’s considered a “business classic.”
So here goes with my side of the Crucial Conversation I imagine having with you.
You are my POTUS. I am not trying to change that. As long as you remain in good health you will be my POTUS for the next 2.5 years & I will continue to write you regularly to express my unconditional, yet critical, love.
I know that you would like to get unbiased press coverage. I would love to see that, too.
It’s doubtful that will happen if you continue to employ the communication style you exhibited at your cabinet meeting on Wed. As I commenced reading it, I was stopped by your claim, “we achieved the largest drop in the murder rate ever recorded to the lowest level in 125 years.” I wasn’t sure what you were talking about. I didn’t know if you were referring to the whole country or DC or someplace else. I wasn’t sure if you were citing a change in the rate or the rate itself.
When I tried to get clarity on that sentence, Aa sent me to Bob Week’s, Voice of Liberty site, where he offers an incredibly detailed analysis of the transcript of the meeting. I encourage you to take a look at it so you can decide which aspects of your communication style you want to change first.
I suggest starting with your tendency to make“false dichotomies on military force.” You’ve done this since 2017. Being a literal person, I was terrified at that time when you called KJU, “Rocket Man,” believing that you planned to start WWIII. Your comments about Oman in the recent cabinet meeting were along these lines. Best not to claim that either it’s your way or the highway.
I’m eager to hear what your reaction to this suggestion so we can develop a “pool of shared meaning” from which we can agree to your action plan to change your communication style.
OoM, did you hear that MAH is going to India? Burmese refugees are planning demonstrations in Dehli to express their dismay that NDM is welcoming a dictator who engages in “unjust oppression & brutal actions.” I hope they have a crucial conversation in which NDM helps MAH see the Light & realize that WINTA.
