My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I’m sorry to see that the violence continues in the MidEast & disappointed that you are not doing more to ensure your cease fire holds. The situation requires constant attention with daily if not hourly check-ins with various parties to make sure things are going ok.

I encourage you to bring the same micro-managing tendencies you have for building & design projects to your job as POTUS. Just as you are concerned with the number of trees in Lafayette Park you also need to be attentive to the specific terms of your agreement with Iran. Please spend more time on peace-making instead of making DC look pretty.

I am keeping today’s missive brief because I have a dermatologist appointment at 8:00 which means I need to leave the house at 7:10 so I don’t have to cycle too fast. I’m lucky that Sacto streets are nothing like those in NYC or SF. I don’t have to dodge cars or pedestrians to make it through downtown.

In closing I have two asks:

  1. Restore the comment period for projects on federal lands. The public needs a chance to weigh in on decisions. If you don’t know what I’m talking about see “Trump officials to slash public input on fossil fuel drilling on federal lands” in today’s G.

  2. Continue to monitor the situation in Burma - Today’s Irrawaddy has a story about a “Pro-Regime Militia Officer Arrested Over Arms, Drugs and Fake Thai Currency.” Like you, MAH needs to improve in attending to the details when governing to prevent this kind of thing.

BYBS,
