My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

You missed a fantastic event! We rejoiced in the ideal weather & friendly reception as we wogged through downtown, up Hayes Hill, over to the park & out to the ocean. We were delighted by the creative garb surrounding us & kept count of those in birthday suits (about 25). Interestingly, we didn’t see any references to you, but plenty of guys were dressed as Ken from the Barbie movie. I hope you’ll join me next year.

SoW, spotlighting the Bay-to-Breakers would be a great way to get your healthcare agenda back on track. Come to think of it, how about having a running event instead of UFC Freedom 250 on your birthday? It would be much healthier for America to participate in a wog rather than sit & watch two guys trying to kill each other.

Speaking of health related things, I hope that preventative medicine comes up when you talk about healthcare affordability today. You might also ask the group to brainstorm what we can do about sepsis, which I was surprised to learn is the single most expensive health condition treated in US hospitals. If we could stop spending $60 billion/year on that, our health bill would go down 11%. I encourage you to revisit your budget priorities so you can invest in research to address this.

OoM, what was your impression of yesterday’s prayer event? Was attendance as expected? I ask because I saw photos where most of the seats up front were vacant. Perhaps a full day of prayer is too much for your average American. Clearly, it’s too much for you or you would have attended. No offense, it’s too much for me, too.

As usual, I will ask you to keep an eye on Burma, especially how the regime is implementing their conscription policy. According to today’s Irrawaddy, ”Defense Minister General Tun Aung has instructed regional administrations to work on compiling conscription lists, escalating a draft already notorious for forced abduction of citizens.” Forcing folks to participate in violence is bad for everyone. WINTA!!!

BYBS,
