My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Happy day before Valentine’s Day. Enjoy your visit to Fort Bragg. The families of the Delta Force soldiers will, undoubtedly, give you a warm reception. Please refrain from saying anything outrageous so the limelight can stay on the contributions of the unit & their ability to keep their mission a secret.
SoW, I’m surprised that you are doing a photo op among the folks who abducted Maduro. Don’t they want to keep their operations on the down-low? Isn’t the whole point of something like Operation Absolute Resolve to be sneaky? Given my objection to war, I’m not well informed about such things, but I suspect that anyone who shows their face on camera today won’t be able to do any more top secret missions.
While you are visiting Fort Bragg, please ask Colonel K. Mixon about the allegations of child sexual exploitation there. A MacLeod writing for the Mint, claims that the culture of bacha bazi, which the military top brass tolerated in Afghanistan, has taken hold at Fort Bragg. He delineates the convictions of 4 soldiers for raping children & claims it’s just the tip of the iceberg. If you could convince the world that you find this abhorrent by insisting it be investigated, everyone might calm down about the Epstein files.
OoM, today folks in Yangon are finding some joy by celebrating Laphet Festival. According to the Myanmar Cultural Heritage Trust & the Myanmar Tea Association, Laphet is a “symbol of national unity, as it combines tea leaves grown in Myanmar's hilly regions with oil & fried beans produced in the plains, representing harmony among the country's diverse regions & ethnic communities.” I love the idea that tea salad reminds people of the diversity of their country, I just wish the junta was more successful at the actual work of unifying the ethnic minorities rather than intimidating them.
I’m off to see what the 10-year-old kiddos in Mr G’s room are up to.
BYBS,
