Thank you for calling off your visit to Tuscaloosa to watch the AL/GA football game. Best not to get in the way of any emergency workers who may have to contend with flooding from Hurricane Isaias. It was nice of you to let the teams know that you hope to watch them play in the future, but I have to wonder if you should be spending quite so much time traveling around to watch football games. Don’t you have more important things to do?

I worry that you are making hasty decisions that you will regret in the long run. Isn’t that what happened with EFO? Bibi created a sense of urgency & convinced you it would be quick, so you said “yes” when he asked you to join him in bombing Iran. I’m afraid that’s what happened last night when you agreed to VVP’s offer to sell his diesel. I fear that’s what happened when you went along with PBH’s plan to live stream the execution of the Fort Hood shooter by firing squad.

Rather than run around going to football games & holding rallies, I encourage you to hole up in the Oval Office collecting various opinions on how to get us out of the war & then give yourself the gift of time to let things season. That’s the Quakerly approach & it leads to sound actions. Jumping to conclusions can end up wasting time & resources & lead to regrettable outcomes. 

I encourage you to bring this deliberate approach to figuring out what kind of diplomatic relationship to pursue in Burma. The quick & easy thing to do would be to negotiate with MAH, but according to today’s Irrawaddy, you’d befalling into his trap. He tends not to deliver on his promises because he doesn’t have as much power as he likes to think he has. Better to get some intel from the EAOs & Pro-Democracy Groups before moving forward with any kind of deal.
