My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I asked Anthropic’s AI if you had fun yesterday & it scolded me by saying, “I can’t say whether he personally had fun, since nobody can report that. Coverage does suggest it went well for him.”

Two things bug me about that response. First, the use of the word, “I” suggests that the algorithm is a person who talks. It wants me to believe I am dealing with an entity that not only thinks but also feels. That is deception.

I also did not appreciate the way it criticized my question. I would have preferred it to say, “none of my sources include information about how Donald Trump felt at the rally in F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville.” That is factual rather than judgmental.

Speaking of AI, I’m disappointed that factba.se's StressLens did not analyze yesterday’s speech. I assume you got excited when you promised annual $5,000 payments to Americans, saying tariff revenue would pay for them.

SoW, can you please share the math on that? I can’t find any economist who believes it’s a good idea to hand out more $$ to our citizens. Your nemesis, POTUS 46, gave us all some $$ during CV & it caused inflation. Aren’t we already having more inflation than we’d like? Best give up on that plan.

You also might want to give up on the idea of tariffs also. Today’s AP has an article about how workers have been squeezed out of jobs due to factory closures because of your tariffs. They quote several workers like Nelson Vandermeer who voted for you in 2024 but now says, “I could still have a job, but now I don’t because of tariffs. It was like taking a knife to the back.”

OoM, have you spoken to Assistant Sec of State, Michael Vance, about his recent trip to Burma? The Council on Foreign Relations (CFT) reports that he talked to some generals & seems to think you might be able to get your hands on some rare earth minerals. CFT says that’s unlikely to happen & warns that any US company who might try to set up shop there “would have to deal with a devilishly complex environment involving an ongoing civil war & a wide range of other armed groups.”

I have to get going. We have Meeting for Worship on the Occassion of Business today with a hefty agenda. We’re looking at our budget & considering writing a minute in opposition to the idea of a public execution for the Fort Hood shooter.

BTW, Anthropic’s AI claims, “In the U.S., executions are not televised or streamed.” Does PBH know that?

BYBS,
