My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

Happy Equinox!

According to scientists, today we will have as much daylight as darkness making it a good moment to consider the balance.  My Jewish friends will be contemplating questions such as, “Are we giving as much as we are receiving? Are we tempering our truth telling with kindness?” as they embark on the “Days of Awe” as their new year begins.

I encourage you to restore your balance as it seems that your grief at the loss of your friend, CJK, got the best of you yesterday. I’m sure you regret saying “I hate my opponents & I don’t want the best for them.” Not only was that the remark that got headlines, it also suggests an animosity that will steal your soul & fuel anger in your followers. I encourage you to apologize & acknowledge that your strong emotions led you to make a regrettable statement.

I appeal to your instincts as a peacekeeper to recognize the danger to yourself & others when you claim to hate people. Reading MLK’s sermons in his book “Strength to Love” might help. That’s where he wrote his famous words, “returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

Please share MLK’s sentiment with MAH, VVP & KJU. These guys respect you, so I think they’d listen.

We all struggle with our demons. As our planet heats up, our passions are energized. It is getting harder & harder to contain them, stay positive & keep hope alive. Some are withdrawing focusing on their immediate surroundings & family. Others are taking out their anxieties on their neighbors. A few are seeking opportunities to team to maintain equilibrium by collaborating to make the world a better place. Please emphasize the need for us all to work together to address climate change so we can lower the temperature both inside & out.
