My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT, 

How are we going to stop aggravated political assaults? Is everyone getting so dysregulated that they feel free to pop off when they experience dissonance? Can we somehow restrict access to firearms so misguided people cannot inflict so much harm? 

These questions are coming up for me this AM because a 64-year-old man shot three bullets into the lobby of the ABC affiliate in Sacto yesterday afternoon. I heard about because my friend’s daughter is a Sr Reporter at the station.  

Gov Newsom put out a statement condemning “any act of violence toward journalists” as “an attack on our democracy itself.” I hope you can put out a similar condemnation. You could frame it by evoking CJK’s message of the sanctity of freedom of speech & could share it far & wide. The junta especially needs to hear it, because they are taking extreme measures to silence their opposition. Today’s Irrawaddy reports that they arrested two guys in Yangon for putting up anti-election stickers around town. Please give MAH a call & tell him he’s gone over the top!   

OoM, what’s up with the new policy toward H-1B visa holders? Are you trying to chase them out of the country? What does your buddy, Modi, have to say about this move? Did you warn him about it when you called to wish him a happy 75th birthday on Tuesday? Folks in India wonder how this move affects his Make India Vishwaguru again campaign.  

Have you heard of Vishwaguru? It’s got something to do with promoting Indian ideology around the globe so we can all appreciate the brilliance of the Indian people. My interactions with children of Indian descent have convinced me that they have a much higher reverence for math than most of their peers. Are you sure we want to make it harder for tech companies to employ them?
