My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            Have fun at the Congressional picnic tonight. It would be best to include everyone, rather than shun folks like Sen Rand Paul for disagreeing with your budget plan. He thinks it’s petty & I suspect some of his voters will, too. Don’t make them choose between the two of you. That’s bad karma.

            How was Les Mis last night? The NYP says some of the performers boycotted the show when they heard you were coming. That’s too bad. The NYP also says you “couldn’t make up (your) mind about whether (you) identified more with Jean Valjean (JV) or Inspector Javert.” I encourage you to emulate JV. As he sings early in the play, he is transformed by the grace that he receives & vows to be a new man. That can happen to you, too. In fact, I am counting on it.

            As I’ve told you numerous times, God is Change. I see evidence of that every day in my home as my husband embraces each day & works on the myriad projects his manic brain has conjured up. You will recall, a year ago, he was so overcome with pain that he spent most of his time sleeping. While my home is now littered with the materials for his creative endeavors, I rejoice every day that he gets so caught up in his activities that he forgets his physical limitations & pain for a while.

            You’ve made many changes over your lifetime. Recently you’ve been changing your mind about our relationship with China. In my opinion that’s a good thing. The deal that just came out of London is a step in the right direction. I hope you will stop threatening to take the visas away from our Chinese students. The ones I have worked with are receptive to American ideas & enthusiastic about democracy as it has been practiced in the USA for the past couple of centuries. I’ve also informed them about the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989 which they find fascinating. They have been shaken by the threats to their visas & some have postponed summer travel back home. Please confirm that they can continue to remain here.

            OoM, I am working on getting educated about rare Earth minerals & I’m sure you are, too. Some new mines have popped up in the Shan State, which is controlled by the United Wa State Army, which is controlled by XJ (sort of).  It’s a bad situation in many ways.

            We could be less dependent on China if we invested more in recycling. Geomega Resources Inc. is building a plant for this in Quebec, which takes advantage of their cheap hydropower. I encourage you to look into investing in this effort. I might do so, myself.
