My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I believe I have inquired about your dreams – not your aspirations -  but the stories that your brain cooks up while you are sleeping to deal with the residue that remains after a day of thinking.

Last night I dreamed about a baseball team that was playing in the nude with just a bandage to cover their privates. The pitcher had a beer belly & was covered in tattoos. The image is all that I recall, but it makes me wonder what subconscious fears & desires were coming through.

Speaking of baseball, do you think the Dodgers will defy the NDLON’s  petition & accept your invitation to celebrate their WS victory at the WH? If you really want them to visit, you might do something to reduce the pressure on the immigrant community of LA. At least you could insist that ICE agents show their faces. A move like that would show that you are listening to the plight of parents afraid to leave their homes.

Speaking of listening, it’s one of Valerie Kaur’s principles of Revolutionary Love.  I encourage you to check her out. I find her query, “Is this the darkness of the tomb—or the darkness of the womb?” particularly compelling. For me it reframes the struggles we face & helps me to see the laboring I am doing will eventually come to a joyous fruition.

What do you think is going to happen with this SNAP situation? I am intrigued that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson paused the requirement to distribute full SNAP payments until the appeals court rules on whether to issue a more lasting pause. I trust her, more than any of the other SCOTUS judges, to have deliberated on the merits of the case rather than make a politically expedient judgement. Since I trust our legal system, I support her decision.

Speaking of SNAP & systems, have you heard from the Walton’s about how your decision has affected their bottom line? Since 26% of SNAP $$ are spent at Walmart, this situation is damaging their net worth. Not only that, but social media posts indicate they might be shuttering stores to prevent looting. This threat of violence could unsettle anxious citizens & have a cascading effect.

We know from places like Burma that WINTA so best to stop using inflammatory language. Valerie Kaur could teach you about her compass to help you change your narrative. Check it out.
