My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
How’s the effort to get the government running again going? It’s really not a good look to lead an organization that is not functioning. I know you identify with firing people as a leadership strategy, but you need to attend to the getting business done part of the equation.
You are not just a real estate developer anymore. Being CEO of the fed involves more than just deal making so please get down to the nitty gritty of the work you signed up for to “form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, & secure the Blessings of Liberty.” I’d love to see you giving more attention to the Tranquility part of the job description.
I’m giving you this pep talk because I fear you are surrounded by misguided people who don’t know how the other half lives. The citizens who are particularly vulnerable right now are those who depend on SNAP & your crew seems to be oblivious about the suffering they are causing by contributing to their food insecurities.
What are your predictions on how the elections will turn out? I’m hoping that Mikie Sherrill becomes the next governor of NJ. I’m not thrilled with her military service but do appreciate her roles as a mother of four and a centrist Democratic lawmaker who has prized pragmatism. Likewise, Abigail Spanberger is my pick for VA gov. Her “unflashy competence & focus on the cost-of-living appeal” to me.
Speaking of elections, please say something to cast doubt on the elections planned for Burma at the end of the year. If you don’t, XJ will have a win. According to Kyaw Zwa Moe (KZM) writing in the Irrawaddy, XJ & MAH have a “complicated love” in part “pauk-phaw”, akin to familial care & loyalty, but also fickle because all XJ really wants is to exploit Burma. He doesn’t care about the people. KZM points out that “the junta will bring neither stability nor sustainability. If China thinks MAH’s military can rule forever, it’s making a grave mistake.”
