My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT, 

My husband is the squeaky wheel these days. Quite literally! He’s an active guy & puts more miles on his chair (W/C) than most so his ball bearings are shot. When he opened the axle to look, he was shocked to see the bearings were the cheapest, lowest quality on the market. He’s a bike geek, so he knows his bearings. This makes me wonder if W/C manufacturers area cutting corners because they have a monopoly. Please look into it. 

Your recent post about the DOJ’s investigation into the Big 4 meat packing companies demonstrated that you are eager to protect consumers from illegal monopolies so I am hopeful that you will look into ensuring medical equipment is up to snuff.  

Your speech at the McDonald’s Impact Summit surprised me. Perhaps you will be using this occasion to talk about how you have eliminated tariffs on beef. Unfortunately, most economists doubt that will prevent the price of hamburger meat from going up to $10.00/lb. Omaha Steaks CEO Nate Rempe thinks droughts, high interest rates, & expensive feed have combined to shrink the U.S. cattle herd sharply while demand for protein is soaring. Unfortunately, meat eaters will have to make some tough choices in 2026. 

Perhaps it would be best to skip the McDonald’s event. Their offerings are making Americans unhealthy. If you do go, please encourage them to put salad back on their menus. It disappeared during the pandemic & now that beef is getting prohibitively expensive, lettuce with nuts on top would be a wonderful alternative! 

As you ponder the price of protein, please give some consider to reinvigorating the Farm Bill so improvements to our food systems can be comprehensive rather than incremental. Programs like the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program can become part of larger efforts to revamp the system to make it healthier for the planet & the people. 

OoM, you disappointed me by saying that no one cares about Marjorie Taylor-Greene. I have been impressed with her courage in speaking up about the Epstein files but am still not a fan of hers & can’t forget her many misguided statements. As a quaker I believe she has “that of God within” making her worthy of love & attention no matter what she says or does.  I would prefer to hear you say, you have parted company with her, rather than “cancel” her.  

Thanks for getting U Pyinya Zawta released from prison in Burma so he could come back to Buffalo to lead the monks & their followers. He's a brave soul & we are lucky to have him back.
