MDF&P, JRB,

I got off to a late start this AM. I will blame it on the torrential rain we had for about 18 hours yesterday. We aren’t used to rain, let alone having it come down all at once. The dog refused to go out in it, so I was on high alert most of the night waiting for her urgent plea to relieve herself. Minor agitation in comparison to what you have to worry about.

Since I am late, I will not wax philosophical as I often do. If I had more time, I would contemplate the story in the CSM, “Peace enters quietly.”

I will alert you to the news that the NUG in Burma has adopted Tether, a cryptocurrency, as a mechanism for their fundraising efforts. I wish I knew more about cryptocurrency, but it might be one of those new trends that passes this old lady by. I hope it provides a mechanism for getting $$ to provide humanitarian relief so we can start helping out there.

Robert Reich says you need to get rid of the “carried interest loophole” that private equity uses to avoid taxes. Doing so could raise $18 billion a year. He notes that campaign donations from private equity folk are excessive & you have received more than any other candidate. What say you to that accusation?

When you go to KY tomorrow, please don’t hesitate to mention climate change. It’s time for us to get busy on that front!!!

Have a wonderful time at tonight’s Dem. Holiday celebration. Don’t forget to keep your mask on.

Time for me to get back to grading papers,

            BYBS,
