In case you were wondering, I did not ride my bike back from Davis yesterday. I let the fear of another flat tire prevent me from having that adventure. I had an hour to spare for the ride, but I did not have extra time to deal with a mishap. Getting puncture resistant tubes & tires might give me more confidence to embark on the Davis/West Sac journey.

Did you know that West Sac is Best Sac? Actually, I like both Sacs! They are gritty & hip without any pretension. Imperfect & complex! 

West Sac is Best Sac is the latest propaganda popping up on FB.  My local leaders are are attempting your technique of changing the narrative to shape people’s attitudes so folks start thinking about us as a happening place rather than a flood zone.

Speaking of controlling the narrative, do you think AI is going to start doing that all by itself? SoW, your narrative that AI is nothing to be afraid of hasn’t taken hold. When Dario Amodei, Sam Altman & Elon Musk tell everyone they need regulation & Josh Hawley starts an investigation of OpenAI, your rhetoric that the danger they aer talking about is a “HOAX” does not ring true. 

I suggest that you change course & encourage John Thune & Amy Klobuchar, to keep working on their legislation so Congress can get some guardrails in place ASAP!

OoM, I’m sure you are disappointed that your efforts to stop mail-in voting got shot down by the Supreme Court yesterday. You have to admit that Brett Kavanaugh is right when he says "applying the rule in the 2026 elections would be arbitrary and capricious.” 

Regarding Burma, the Irrawaddy reports that the Chinese government is spinning a narrative about the failure of the dams in Guangxi by focusing on dramatic rescues rather than acknowledging that they didn’t take case of the aging infrastructure. Please do everything you can to make sure our infrastructure doesn’t fail here.
