My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

Is Melania happy about the reception of her “Fostering the Future” event yesterday? Her opening remark, “I heard you missed me. Here I am.”  got more attention than the substance of the event. That’s too bad because her new website that gives foster kids info about resources available to them is laudable. Please tell her that I appreciate her attention to the plight of foster kids even if the AI aspects of the effort may be overly optimistic. 

Speaking of being overly optimistic, are you sure that this “Economic D-Day” you are declaring as your latest strategy to end EFO is going to work? Every article I read includes the reminder that we’ve had economic sanctions on Iran for years & the Ayatollah always find a way to circumvent them. What’s new about your plan?

I also wonder if you may be overly optimistic about Darline Graham’s candidacy? Your endorsement may not be sufficient to put her over the top in her SC Senate race. She didn’t help her cause when she didn’t have an answer to the question, “Are Taiwan and the South China Sea national security issues for the United States? ” Not only did she demonstrate her naivety, her non-response shows she wasn’t close to her brother. If she spoke to him frequently she would know he “had openly criticized the expansionist aims of Chinese President XJ, called allies of China “dirtbags” & stressed the need to maintain the status quo between Beijing & Taipei to protect U.S. national security interests.”

Speaking of XJ, do you think he jailed Burmese scholar/US citizen, Min Zin (MZ), so he could make a big deal about releasing him when he visits the WH next month? MZ’s brother, Aung Maw Zin, is grateful to your team for designating MZ as “wrongfully detained” especially because it helps Min Zin’s daughter know that her father is not a criminal.
