My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
How are you today? Exhausted? Elated? Eager?
You are eager every day! You remind me of my dad in that way. He was the Energizer bunny! Like most traders he got out of bed ready to bite the ass off a bear.
I tend toward a high energy level, too, but I’ve learned from my meditation partners that it’s best to slow down. They remind me to adhere to Vicktor Farnkl’s observations that “between stimulus & response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
SoW, did you intentionally cast doubt on the Iran peace agreement or did the various comments you made about its potential failure just slip out? When you say stuff like, ““Crazy things happen with deals” & “if it doesn’t work out, I’m blaming JD,” it makes me wonder if you have any confidence in the document you signed at Versailles.
If you truly want the killing to stop, & I believe you do, better to express optimism that everyone is going to follow through on their promises, than to talk about going “right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head.”
OoM, it was kind of you to shower praise on Narendra Modi (NDM) during your meeting with him yesterday. I’m not sure you satisfied his request that you express regret for the killing of 3 Indian Mariners whose ship was targeted by Pete Hegseth for trying to get through the Straits of Hormuz. NDM’s constituents are quite distressed & your comment that it’s “a tough profession” makes it sound like the families should have anticipated that their loved one would die at sea which, unfortunately, did not comfort them in their time of grief.
Did you & NDM talk about Burma? Is he at all worried that XJ just signed 18 agreements with MAH covering trade, agriculture, technology, & infrastructure? Is NDM at all worried that his plan to get access to the rare earth minerals in Kachin state will be derailed by China’s Belt & Road Initiative? Does NDM have any innovative ideas for calming the conflicts along his Burmese border in Mizoram & Manipur states so the Indigenous people of that area can visit family & attend funerals?
Writing about violence & conflict saps my energy so I best close this letter now & head out to my garden to marvel at the beauty of the earth & the persistence of the nut sedge.
BYBS,
