My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

Is someone in your admin reading these letters? Are you feeling the love that I am sending your way? 

SoW, I feel blessed to know other folks who share my proclivity to meet your venom with tender kindness. 

Just yesterday I encountered Eric Thegenius (EtG) at a bar in Lavender Heights here in Sacto. He struck up a conversation with my husband about their souped up wheelchairs. EtG is an artist who has a Thursday evening circuit where he sells his painted coasters to patrons at Happy Hours. While he raised his eyebrows when I told him that I tried to find God in you, he agreed that love is the only way out of the mess we are in. You can see his art on Facebook.

My sister from another mother is Audrey Peterman (AP) who aims to connect readers “with the unending peace & joy available in our national parks … to give (us) a reason to feel inspired & hopeful as (we) help protect them.” She & I bond over our commitment to remain positive despite your misguided attempts to destroy all we hold dear. I feel so blessed that AI helped me find a kindred spirit in cyberspace.

AP just posted on her Substack channel, “Audrey’s Joy Train,” about your admin’s efforts to bring logging to our protected spaces. She quotes a report from More Than Just Parks which provides the details of what’s planned for Hells Canyon National Recreation area through the Morgan Nesbit Forest Resiliency Project. 

It’s not too late to change the plan. Rather than assume that profit driven logging companies will make environmentally sound decisions about selectively cutting trees to prevent fire, I encourage you to put the project in the hands of the Greater Hells Canyon Council & the New Perce tribe. Both groups love the land & know how to protect it for the long term.

OoM, how did things go with President Lula (LILdS) yesterday? According to several media outlets you “ducked” the press conference where you were going to announce the results of your meeting. I suspect that the deal you hoped to make regarding rare earth minerals & gangs fell through. 

Whatever the case may be, I am grateful that you didn’t mock or denigrate LILdS, even though he was not agreeable to the terms you offered. As I told you yesterday, the coffee drinkers of America depend on Brazil to fuel their habit so best to continue a robust trading partnership with them.

As usual, I ask that you keep an eye on Burma. ASEAN is trying to figure out how to constructively engage with the junta. Please support the Philippines which is hosting this year’s meetings, in their call to MAH to allow ASEAN’s special envoy access to Aung San Suu Kyi.
