In case you’ve forgotten, that stands for War Is Not the Answer!

Queen Elizabeth (QE2) shared this sentiment when she visited POTUS 41 in 1991 & said, “some people believe that power grows from the barrel of a gun. So it can, but history shows that it never grows well, nor for very long. Force in the end, is sterile,...the primary interest of our societies is not domination, but stability—stability so that ordinary men & women everywhere can get on with their lives in confidence.”

I was disappointed that KC3 did not say something similar, but at least he stressed the need for his government to get along with ours calling our “story” to be one “of reconciliation, renewal, and remarkable partnership.” I loved the sentence where he acknowledged the Revolutionary War by saying “"Ours is a partnership born out of dispute, but no less strong for it.” I encourage you to keep this in mind as you work with Sir Keir Starmer. 

I’m reminding you, once again,  that WINTA because you seem to be getting impatient regarding the peace negotiations with Iran. I cringed when I saw the post you made this morning saying, “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a nonnuclear deal. They better get smart soon!” You’ll remember that they did sign a nuclear deal when POTUS 44 was in charge so you just need to be patient!

OoM, did you see that MAH & his monk buddies are hosting a grand celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council From what I can tell, the only people who are participating are from some of the Burmese sangha. The first few Buddhist Councils were a big deal because they involved getting the religious narratives written down. Of course, folks don’t always agree on what belongs in The Book so these Councils can take years. I think the event today is just for show so don’t be too impressed. 

Speaking of disputes in religious organizations, If I had more time, I’d tell you about the debate we had at our Quarterly Meeting about who has the proper credentials to be clerk.

In closing, I need to give you a heads up so your prepared when the Artemis 2 crew visits with you today at the WH.  Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen is a straight shooter. From watching the video about his life, I can tell he’s quite an earnest guy. He’s kind of like Dr Spock so I doubt he will get your jokes. Best not to clown around with him.
