My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
It’s too bad that it’s overcast & rainy in DC right now. I hope you don’t have any outdoor events planned for KC3 & QC today. Although, as Brits, they're used to grey skies & I’m sure they have their umbrellas with them.
From the photos I saw in the Daily Mail (DM), it looks like you had perfect weather for yesterday’s events on the South Lawn. SoW, the DM’s headline for the story of the Royal’s day in DC was “One is amused! King Charles makes Melania Trump giggle while visiting WH beehive.” Do you know what KC3 said that the FOTUS found so funny?
Speaking of jokes, did you know that Freud thought jokes were a form of catharsis that enables us to release repressed emotions. My guess is KC3 said something no one would expect a king to say & Melania’s laughter enabled her to let go of some of the anxiety that she experienced in his presence. My guess is he has learned to use such quips to set people at ease so they don’t worry about some breach of etiquette.
Maybe you do the same thing. You seem to love making people laugh. Have you ever reflected on your use of humor?
Speaking of humor, I suggest that you not waste your time scolding Jimmy Kimmel (JK)when you are offended by something he says. It just draws more attention to him. Most people would never have known that he referred to your passing on Thursday night if you hadn’t called for him to be fired.
Please also remember that freedom of speech is one of the pillars of our democracy. You don’t want to become like MAH in Burma, who according to journalist, Nyein Chan Aye (NCA) cannot tolerate a satirical remark. NCA points out that “a government confident in its legitimacy does not fear a book or satire.”
Best not to be so sensitive to what JK & his fellow comedians might say about you. Just do what I do when my family teases me & laugh along.
BYBS,
