My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

It looks like you have a cloudy, cool day in DC today. Excellent weather to hole up in the WH for the meetings on your schedule, three of which are only identified as “policy” meetings.

Investigating your 4th meeting with the Social Security (SS) administration led me down a rabbit hole & I learned that you appointed one guy, Frank J. Bisignano (FJB), to head up both the IRS & SS.  Are you sure that’s wise?

My recent experiences with both of those agencies has been quite unsatisfactory! A written request to the IRS regarding our 2024 taxes was never answered, & we’re still waiting to hear back from the SS office about a reevaluation of our Medicare payments.

I’m not suggesting you fire FJB, rather that you have an honest exchange about whether overhauling both the IRS & SS at the same time is working. You might also talk with FJB about Pope Leo, so he can help you understand that the pope is NOT a politician, rather his job is to remind everyone what Jesus & the Bible say.

OoM, how will you be acknowledging Earth Day? Perhaps you could talk about how your new ballroom will have all of the latest energy saving gizmos. It will be energy efficient, won’t it?

AI suggests you aren’t really building a ballroom at all. Someone named Dray, writing on Substack, speculates that the new electricity supply that the Potomac Electric Power Company is developing in Foggy Bottom suggests you are building an underground data center. Dray is especially suspicious that your new architect for the project, Shalom Baranes, is known for his work designing state-of-the-art bunkers. Dray makes a convincing case, so I ask that you clarify just exactly what you are building. If you want to have legitimacy, you need to be transparent.

Legitimacy is on my mind after reading a piece in the Irrawaddy about how “a large part of Myanmar’s population simply do not accept Min Aung Hlaing as a legitimate national leader.” The author, Bo Kyi, points out that “illicit economies have grown since the coup, particularly transnational drug trafficking &cyber-scam operations.” They are affecting us all, & come from having a usurper in charge.

Similarly, it’s unclear who the legitimate leader of Iran is these days. Some speculate your preferred negotiator is Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, described by the AP as “a veteran insider with strong contacts on all sides.” They claim, “he went on a charm offensive for almost two decades, portraying himself as a hard-liner the West could do business with in the Islamic Republic." I probably don’t need to caution you that “many Iranians despise Ghalibaf,” & he may only be representing himself.

I like to imagine that you stop trying to negotiate & just declare yourself the winner & walk away from OEF. You might have to deal with higher oil prices for the rest of your presidency, but at least you won’t be risking a forever war.

Even better, would be for you to tell everyone that OEF has taught you that the era of the petrodollar is over & we are entering a new global economy that relies on renewables. That would shock the world & might even win you some new fans.

BYBS,
