My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
This is going to be quick so please forgive typos, grammar mistakes, spelling errors, etc. Perhaps you do not notice such things but being in academia made me more meticulous.
SoW, I’m afraid you’ve got some folks in your admin who need to learn about attending to precision when dealing with bureaucracy. I learned the hard way that the devil is in the details when it comes to making something happen in big organizations. While it can be annoying & time consuming, in the end, things work best when you’ve got all your i’s dotted & t’s crossed. People without experience or knowledge tend to get blind sided by the minutiae of policy. That’s why it’s best to hire professionals rather than friends.
The competence of government officials is on my mind after reading in the Irrawaddy about “the military flooding civilian ministries with its own officers.” This also happened back in 1962 after Ne Win’s coup. Burma then became one of the most undeveloped countries in the world due to mismanagement. Now that 68 officers have been assigned to work in 10 ministries it’s unlikely that Burma’s economic problems will end because military men tend not to know much about Agriculture & Irrigation or Electricity.
Speaking of incompetence, are you sure Robert F Kenedy, Jr knows what he’s doing? His anti-vax obsession has led to measles outbreaks in SC & UT. MI may be next. We’ve just had a couple of cases diasgnosed here in Sacto. Will you be discussing this at the MAHA Roundtable today? Apparently, RFKJr has a new podcast to “rebrand” HHS so it would be the perfect opportunity to change his tune about vaccines. You might tell him to distance himself from Tony Lyons, his buddy who’ll publish anything related to conspiracy theories.
OoM, is it true you are hosting some kind of martial arts fight on the South Lawn on your birthday? What message are you hoping to send by having tatted up guys pummeling each other? The Proud Boys might eat it up, but people like my mom & sister, who both identify as GOPers, will be repulsed. I encourage you to reconsider. You could blame it on the weather. Your guy, Dana White is worried about lightening, so you could make him happy by relocating the event to an indoor venue that is not owned by the people of America.
