My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
It’s nice that you got such a warm reception at El Areapzo in Doral yesterday. Did you try arepa? I just learned that it’s a word from the Cumanagoto language for a special corn bread quite popular in Venezuela & Colombia. It can be filled to make a sandwich sort of thing. Looks tasty!
Speaking of Latin America, please don’t let Marco Rubio talk you into doing something regrettable in Cuba. Keep in mind that WINTA!
If you have doubts about that, consider what folks like Richard Haas are saying about Operation Epic Fury. They opine you had overly ambitious goals, did not plan it out & had inadequate consideration of the aftermath.
Am I being too honest with you? If so, please forgive me. In the relationship equation, Truth + Kindness = Love, I often err on the side of truth.
Radical honesty? The internet is split on whether it’s a good thing. Anything with the word, “radical” appeals to me. I inherited that preference from my dad, who called himself a “contrarian.” He was not afraid to go against the grain, to speak his truth & defy authority. That last part is the reason he couldn’t stay in the Marines, despite loving its competitive, aggressive aspects. He could’t stand someone telling him what to do.
I think you’re that way, too. You want to be at large & in charge at all times.
The danger in that is you don’t know everything & an impulsive decision can come back to bite you. I’m afraid that’s what’s happening right now with Iran. Stop now, before we get sucked in any further.
I’ll close by sharing my fantasy about the radical transformation I like to imagine you experiencing. You will realize that to be a true peacemaker you will have to address wealth disparities & climate change. You will redirect your attention to the poor, hungry, sick children in the world & do everything in your power to ensure a brighter future for them. The kids in Burma, Sudan & Latin America could then grow up to contribute to their societies rather than become soldiers or part of a drug cartel.
Do it your grandchildren, especially Tiffany’s little guy, Alexander, so he can grow up in a world where the creative spirit of each individual has free reign.
BYBS,
