Happy Halloween!

Was the candy distribution at the WH on Thursday fun? I always enjoy seeing kiddos in their costumes & yesterday I got to see several hundred parading around at Heron Elementary where I go do math activities every so often. Minions & bananas were the most common outfits. Michael Jacksons were the most notable.

Some courageous kids didn’t dress up & I was happy to see that they weren’t interrogated for choosing that option. According to aboutIslam.net, Halloween is haram because it “represents the devil worshipper’s New Year.” Some devout Christians find it offensive, too. It’s also expensive for families struggling to make ends meet.

It’s a weird holiday. Perhaps we should reconsider making such a big deal about it.

I continue to be in awe of your endurance! When you canceled your last couple of rallies, I thought, “maybe he’s human, after all,” but your plan to do two in one day tomorrow gets me  back to thinking that you have extraordinary energy for an 80-year old!

SoW, you’ll be happy to know that the Washington Times has published several articles praising your unique ability to entertain rally attenders. They equate your events with rock concerts & note you’ve held about 700 in your career. They assert you are successful at getting out the vote, citing a study by Haystaq DNA which found “early voting jumped 219% within two days of the event compared with a 22.8% increase nationally.”

You may not be so happy to hear that according to the CM, “only about one-third of Republicans ages 18-29 say they’ll definitely vote in the midterms, compared with 46% who had planned to vote before the 2022 midterm elections...For those voters, the war with Iran has felt like a sharp betrayal. Many also support ending aid to Israel, an issue that unites the younger generation on the left and the right.”

If you want to win back the bros, end EFO today & tell the world you have come to the conclusion that WINTA! That might be just what the GOP needs to be victorious on Tuesday.

As usual, my ask of the day involves Burma & the conflict there. Yesterday’s AP had a story about a UN report that said the junta“is intentionally attacking civilians to terrorize them & force them into submission, & its increasing weapons purchases from China, Russia & elsewhere are fueling the conflict & the “catastrophic” human rights situation.” It asks countries to “closely monitor the situation.” I hope you will!
