My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

I am writing a quick note before I head off to do our fall workday at the Davis Friends Meeting House. It could use some sprucing up. 

I hope you feel good about your rally yesterday. PBS says you revived the idea of military intervention in Cuba. I’m not sure Marco Rubio’s idea to involve the CIA is the best way to get regime change there, but I know that launching bombs at them won’t do any good! I must remind you that WINTA! I must also remind you that Cuba is not a security threat to the USA, so I suggest we just leave them alone.

You are turning a blind eye to other authoritarian regimes around the world, like Burma’s & Russia’s, so why pick on Cuba, which seems to be the weakest of all right now. Best to let go of plans to invade.

Please send my thanks to Melania for arranging a ceasefire in Oleshky. After seeing photos of the place, I’m amazed that anyone is living there. My guess is that they got stuck & now that the area is full of land mines they can’t get out. I hope the plan is successful & the children there get the help they need.

It looks like you’re having perfect golfing weather today. I encourage you to consider walking the course so you can get some exercise.
