Will you be speaking at the Alfalfa Club event tonight? Will Melania be with you? The whole affair seems elitist to me, but BHO’s participation in 2009 & 2012 suggest otherwise.

Have you developed a plan to help Burma? Today’s Irrawaddy delineates how much the country has deteriorated since MAH took over. Among the offenses enumerated are the facts that China is the only foreign entity that has any influence there & on “March 14, 2021 alone, trigger-happy troops killed around 80 protesters across the country.”

SoW, I am grateful that no one was killed in the various demonstrations that happened around the country yesterday. I hope that continues to be the case.  Given how troubled you were about the Ayatollah’s treatment of the protestors in Iran, I trust that you will take the same stance toward those who exercise their first amendment rights here in the USA & make sure that federal troops stop attacking citizens.

Here in Sacto, at least a thousand high schoolers marched around our governmental buildings yesterday carrying the flags of their parents’ homelands & demanding an end to ICE’s aggressions. I hope you will heed their pleas to respect their rights as citizens of our nation & acquiesce to the demands that Senators have made regarding ICE activities, especially the ones about ending roving patrols, requiring agents to show their faces & to have judicial warrants. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

I like to imagine you educating our citizens about the benefits of “social friction” as articulated by Yanqing Wang et al in a recent article in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. You’ll need a physicist to help you think it through, but it might be helpful to acknowledge that resistance can force folks to slow down in order to discern the best course of action. Immigration policy has been a challenge for our government as long as I can remember. It won’t be fixed quickly or easily, & clearly, the ICE approach is not working!

Speaking of immigration policy, I encourage you to read up on POTUS 21, AKA Chester Arthur, & his veto of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. AI identifies this as one of 21’s achievements. As I wrote to you on 1/29/26, CAA demonstrated how dramatically people can change when they see the Light. I eagerly await the day that will happen to you.
