My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

It’s the 36th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Will you be saying anything about it? I hope you will add on to Secretary Marco Rubio’s statement about “the bravery of the Chinese people who were killed as they tried to exercise their fundamental freedoms.”

You could recognize Zhang Xianling, who at age 89, has the courage to demand that XJ acknowledge that Chinese soldiers killed her son & that the government provide some compensation to all who lost a loved one. She & the other moms whose kids were killed on June 4, 1989, dream of the day when youth can once again peacefully convene at Tiananmen Square, & places like it, to express their opinions about political matters.

SoW, you are in favor of the freedom of assembly, aren’t you? I know that you are a patriot who loves America as much as I do, so you must be a fan of the 1st Amendment which includes, “Congress shall make no law …prohibiting …the right of the people peaceably to assemble.” Isn’t it a cause for celebration when we see students protesting something? It signifies that they are resisting the seduction of their cell phones & that they have the energy to make some good trouble.

As you will recall, the youth of Burma continue to fight the repression of the junta & are winning! I bring this to your attention because Just Security opines that your administration needs to “engage on Burma now,” otherwise, we will “watch history unfold to (our) detriment.” You can start by having your people talk with the NUG & EAOs & “get serious about economic leverage (&)target Chinese-linked illicit mining & timber networks with secondary sanctions.”

It’s a good day to pay homage to the youth of the world who boldly stand up for what they believe.

            BYBS,
