My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
So, it’s the last day of the year. Should we make a big deal about it? If we embrace the idea that God is Change, shouldn’t the start of each new day be cause for celebration & contemplation? Am I being a contrarian by refusing to sum up 2025 &/or make resolutions for 2026?
Speaking of contrarians, help me understand why you appointed a Covid contrarian to be acting Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research? Are you sure you want Tracy Beth Høeg running that agency when “she’s never run a randomized controlled trial. She has no expertise leading a large organization. She has no expertise in industry regulation or drug approvals.” She’s copying the policies of Denmark. Are you sure modeling ourselves on a socialist health care system makes sense?
OoM, what is your strategy for the Strait of Malacca? Apparently, China runs 80 % of its oil imports through it, & since it’s so narrow, it would be easy for our Navy to blockade it. I bring it up, because China is investing in Burma so they can build pipelines to avoid their dependence on the Strait of Malacca. XJ thinks the election in Burma will somehow settle things down there & hopes to get his infrastructure projects up & running. Have you considered condemning the election to interfere with XJ’s plans?
Back to the idea of resolutions, I suggest that you commit to being more vigilant about avoiding spreading misinformation! I mention this because the G ran an article about you posting something about the death of bald eagles due to windmills along with a photo of a dead falcon killed at a wind farm in Israel 8 years ago. They noted, it’s a pity no one traced the image back to its source. Please do that in the future.
Have you heard about the America Gives, program? Congress has established a nonpartisan commission to promote volunteerism as part of the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. They are especially interested in getting young folks involved, so you might recruit Barron to sign up for one of the projects. The America 250 site lists all kinds of organizations where he can log in some hours. Since you expressed concern about bald eagles, he might want to check out the “wildlife conservation” efforts.
