My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

Sorry to miss writing yesterday. I was busy preparing for our annual cookie making party where guests roll out, cut out & decorate sweet treats. Our first baker was 2.5 years old who came with his grandpa, age 80. Folks wore name tags indicating whether they were naughty or nice. We all set aside our cares for a few hours as we created mini-masterpieces. Maybe you can join us next year.

Speaking of masterpieces, are you sure it’s a good idea to prioritize the appearance of a battleship over its function?  As the folks at Irish Star point out “how the president would implement his preferred aesthetics to the gargantuan pieces of complex & hugely expensive maritime engineering was not clear.”

I’m sure the folks at Bath Iron Works would love to build the “the fastest... biggest... 100 times more powerful ...battleship ever built”, but according to the folks at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, “it will take years to design, cost $9 billion & contravene the Navy’s new concept of operations, which envisions distributed firepower.” Are you sure your voters will be happy about your sending $$ to Hanhwa Ocean, a South Korean company?

As we celebrate the promise of Peace on Earth that Jesus’ birth brought to us, please support the UN’s observations that the election set to start in Burma in a few days is “taking place in an environment of violence and repression” & “there are no conditions for the exercise of the rights of freedom of expression, association or peaceful assembly that allow for the free and meaningful participation of the people.” Please tell MAH to cancel the whole thing.

BYBS,
