My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT, 

Life is full of surprises! Just when I think that I can predict what will happen, I am bombarded by news I did not see coming.  

Take yesterday, for example, I anticipated that your meeting with Zohran Kwame Mamdani (ZKM) would unfold like that meeting you had with VOZ on Feb 28. I worried that you would provoke ZKM into saying something regrettable & you both would look bad. I was thrilled when I read the Fox headline that you, two, had a Love Fest.  

It warmed my heart to read your statement you have “changed a lot” since 2016. Even better was the way you interceded on ZKM’s behalf when Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich asked ZKM, "Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?" by saying, “just say yes.”  

Another shocker was Majorie Taylor Greene’s announcement that she was stepping down from Congress. Do you have any idea what she has up her sleeve? Do you think she had some kind of epiphany, a Damascene conversion of sorts, that has helped her shed her tendency to promote conspiracy theories & engage in provocative activities?  

Speaking of provocative, I’m afraid you fell into the trap set for you by the Congress people who made that video reminding military personnel to not follow illegal orders. I suspect they wanted to get a rise out of you & get you so angry that you’d say something you’d regret. You didn’t really mean that you wanted them killed, did you?  

I encourage you to remember Viktor E. Frankl’s mantra that “between stimulus & response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Next time someone does something that sets you off, take a breath & wait for the cortisol to dissipate so you can think staight.  

Regrading Burma, please invite Rep Young Kim (CA-40) to the WH to elaborate on her statement, that “(the) elections are designed to create an illusion of legitimacy while allowing the junta to continue serving as a proxy for China & Russia.” She’s the chairwoman of the East Asia & the Pacific Subcommittee & knows how to get things done. She might be able to help you figure out how to bring peace to Burma. That would be a welcome surprise!
