My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            How was the event with the governors at the WH yesterday? I saw some footage of Jill’s remarks to them about career connected learning & apprenticeships. I’m not sure education is the most pressing matters for the gents in the room, so I’m glad that Jill reminded them of that aspect of their work.

            Wes Moore of MD stood out as the only young Black man. My gov was there. What did he have to say for himself? Did any females govs attend?  I hope the event energized you.

            Yesterday with the 5th graders was interesting. When I arrived in their classroom, their teacher was lecturing them about a transgression some kids had committed during recess the day before. I chimed in, evoking the image of Fred Flintstone & his shoulder companions. I told them we need to ignore our devil who suggests we do bad things & turn toward our other side to make good choices. Sometimes we slip up. It doesn’t make us a bad person, but it does mean we have to make up for our misdeed in some way.

I am hosting the 5th graders on campus on Tuesday, so I need them to be on their best behavior as they disperse around campus looking for various destinations. Please hold us all in the Light.

As we enter into the 3rd year of Russia’s war on Ukraine. I wonder if the 500 sanctions you announced will make a difference. According to the CSM, VVP is creating the same military-industrial complex we have here, where people are profiting from selling munitions so many have a stake in prolonging the conflict.
