JRB,

I just found the G7 family photo & asked myself, what’s wrong with this picture? Did you have that question, too? I hope you noticed, too much testosterone & not enough melanin!

That simple assessment is true of so many institutions – the SCOTUS, the GOP, the board of directors of Chevron, Lockheed Martin & Apple. The Senate Judiciary Committee had the same problem when you resided over Clarence Thomas’s hearing. Maureen Dowd opines that was the start of our present predicament & you decided women’s rights had to take a back seat to your desire to foster bipartisanship with your conservative colleagues. Now, we’ve ended up in this place where so many women of America feel terrorized.

You could help change the optics of the G7 family photo by getting an electable woman to run for POTUS in 2024. It might be KDH. It might be someone else. Maybe Dr. Jill or Michele Obama. I’d prefer a self-made woman, but I’ll take a politician’s wife. That’s how we got Margaret Chase Smith & she had the power to take down McCarthy.

Regarding the outrage over the Roe v Wade ruling, I am thinking it might be time to advance the idea of a sex boycott. Since men are telling women they can’t control their reproduction, women can shut down access. I’m not the only one to come up with this idea. The NYPost says #Sexstrike is trending on twitter. While it’s highly unlikely to happen, it does spark the imagination.

A sex boycott is just one of many great ideas women share on social media as they unite forces to change things. Sisters2Sisters, activists in Myanmar are reaching out to the wives of soldiers. They know that, “If a soldier is going to defect, the first thing he does is consult his wife.” Spouses can break through the military propaganda & help their husbands see how the junta is attacking its own people. How about giving them some support?

I hope you took an hour to go on a hike or at least wander the grounds at Schloss Elmau.

            BYBS,
