My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I’m sure you know that Gov Lujan Grisham is excited to host you in NM today! She believes you can galvanize voters to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and encourage turnout across the state.

            It would be nice if the folks in NM & all over the country heard your speech last night. I appreciated your sense of urgency & agreed with your assertion, “in a typical year, we’re often not faced with the question of whether the vote we cast will preserve democracy or put us at risk. But this year we are.”

            Unfortunately, I doubt many Americans were paying attention. Many, like my husband & I, were watching the Astros pitch their no-hitter to tie up the WS, 2 -2. Since it was on Fox, no one mentioned your speech.

            As you campaign today, I encourage you to talk about climate change & remind voters that Attorneys General can have a big impact. The G reported on that today using the AG race in MN as an example where the challenger is using a climate legal case as a talking point.

            Please don’t forget to keep an eye on Burma. The junta has recently passed a “registration of associations” law which bans any “indirect or direct” contact between aid providers & blacklisted groups. This means that getting humanitarian aid to people in need will be extremely risky. Folks are calling for a coordinated effort to confront the junta. Please spearhead that.
