My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

Have you called HM Queen Elizabeth II yet? My heart goes out to her for the loss of the man that she says was her “strength & stay all these years,” 73 to be exact. According to the Guardian, before marrying QE, he was a “a stateless, peripatetic, impoverished and exiled royal” & “a young man to whom obsequiousness did not come naturally”. But he grew into his role as her consort & became her BFF who was “the linchpin of palace life” & had more public appearances than any of the other Royals. When you talk to QE, please tell her we are holding her in the Light as she faces this transition.

Speaking of transitions, I am intrigued to see if you can pull off your transition to what Sen. Schumer calls, “BIG GOVERNMENT” & David Brooks (DB) calls, “Bidenomics,” which DB claims includes “economic dynamism” & “national unity.” He opines that it’s a “leap of faith.” I’m a bit worried about his observation that the US tends to be really inefficient at building roads, but why not go for it? YOLO!

Have you spoken with Ambassador to Burma, Thomas Vajda (TLV), lately? He can give you a good idea for how widespread the protests & violence are in Yangon. It’s really hard to tell, otherwise. Even the reporters that went there last week didn’t get a full picture because the junta wouldn’t let them out of their sight. Do we have some satellite shots?

As long as we are on the topic of brave ambassadors, did you see the news that the Burmese Ambassador to England was locked out of his embassy in London. He had the courage to call for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi & now has nowhere to go. Perhaps you can invite him to the WH to get his ideas on how we can use diplomacy to ameliorate the situation.

            BYBS,
