My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

Fall back – yeah!!! We will have light in the AM. Changing the clocks may be disruptive for a day or 2, but I am in favor. I like to start my day when the sun rises. The dark mornings we’ve had lately make it hard for me to get out of bed. Apparently, you are a night owl, so perhaps you are like most of my friends and prefer light in the evening to light in the morning.

The disturbing news continues to come in from Myanmar. I hope it is making its way to your desk. Please let the people there know that you are concerned & considering how to help.

I saw a photo of you beaming at your press conference yesterday celebrating the House’s passage of the infrastructure bill. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m sure you profusely thanked Black Caucus leader Joyce Beatty (JMB) for the “timid & convoluted plan” to pass the bill with the promise to pass BBB by Nov 15. I hope Josh Gottheimer (D NJ-5) & his centrist friends remain true to their commitment to vote for it “in its current form.”

Wasn’t NPP brilliant in sending JMB out to announce the victory so that folks like AOC couldn’t raise too much of a stink? As you noted it’s all about TRUST. That’s harder to come by these days. If anyone can make it happen, it’s NPP. She’s amazing!

I’m sure you also thanked Rep Nicole Malliotakis (NRM) & the other 12 GOP members who voted in favor of the Bill despite threats from their colleagues to “primary the hell out of” them. I guess the Statin Island fast ferry line & improvements to the NYC subway signals were more appealing to NRM’s voters than toeing the party line. How many goodies for the NYC metro area are in that Bill to entice 6 GOP Reps from that area to get on board?

How is Major these days? Does he go back & forth to DE & the WH with you? My animal companion is at her other house right now & I look forward to having her back. She gives me a great incentive to go for several walks every day, so I miss her.

            HYITL,
